    History

Webflow was founded in 2013 by a group of 3 developers with the goal of creating a platform that would allow anyone to create a professional and well-designed website without having any knowledge of coding. It offers a photoshop-like experience for designing web pages–allowing users to tweak every part of the design by making visual changes that don’t require code.

    Requirements

Anyone with an internet connection and a computer can access and use Webflow. There are plenty of instructional videos available at Webflow University and designers without any experience writing code can use the platform to create websites.

    Hosted/Self-hosted

Webflow is typically self-hosted, but website creators can take a website created with Webflow to another hosting platform to publish it.

    Cost

There are many levels of pricing for Webflow users. There is a free plan that offers only the basics and allows users to learn Webflow with limitation on CMS items, bandwidth, and the domain name. Further, there are plans for individuals as well as teams, and different levels of each that offer their own features.

    User Base

There are over 3.5 million Webflow users.
